In a previous blog, we gave statistics showing that Carroll County is a sweet spot for investors, with rental properties in high demand, and the yield those properties are bringing (see blog post “Carroll and Paulding Among Top National Markets for Rental Demands and Yields”) . Last week, Atlanta’s CBS 46 News featured the city of Carrollton in a story boasting more of what Carrollton has to offer – the town’s superlatives.
The top superlative given was that Carrollton was named as having the best tasting drinking water in the state. It also touches on three of the primary contributing factors to the town’s economy:
- Southwire – North America’s leading manufacturer of wire and cable used in the distribution and transmission of electricity.
- The University of West Georgia - Enrollment of roughly 13,000 students
- Tanner Health System – employs nearly 3,000 people between its five hospitals
In a separate piece by CBS 46, the Carrollton Green Belt is highlighted. The 18-mile paved path winds through the city connecting neighborhoods, schools, shopping, and more. Several bike share stations are set up at locations throughout the Green Belt, as well as direct access to the city's disc golf course at Hobbs Farm. The completion of the Green Belt further enhances the lives, and health, of Carrollton residents, as well as residents from the surrounding communities.
